Little girls look cute in this fairy-style and puffy dress. Here’s my first attempt – crochet Candy baby tutu dress pattern.

Materials: ( I used )
3.5 mm crochet hook
Sport weight yarn: white ( color A ), pink ( color B ), and fuchsia ( color C ) ( 100 gr for the sample – toddler size/ 100 gr or 393 yds per skein )

Scissors
Tulle: white, pink, hot pink
Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each round/row instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into the same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each round/row, so just choose your best technique 🙂

Special stitch used:
2dc- V stitch: ( 2dc, ch1, 2dc ) into same stitch or space.
Skill level: Intermediate
Gauge: 10 double crochet stitches x 5 rows = approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )
Dress:
Body part: working in round
Start with color A yarn
R1: Ch 108, sl into the first chain to form round, 108 dc around, sl into the first stitch to join.
R2: ch1, sc into first st, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st, skip 2 sts, *sc into next st, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st, skip 2 sts * repeat ** 17 times around, sl into the first stitch to join.
R3: change to color B yarn, 2dc into first st, skip 2 sts, sc into next ch1-space, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts, *sc into next ch1-space, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts* repeat ** 16 times around, end with ( 2dc, ch1 ) into last st, sl into the first stitch to join.
R4: change to color C yarn, ch1, sc into the first ch ( the ch1 of the previous round ), skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts, *sc into next ch1-space, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts * repeat ** 17 times around, sl into the first stitch to join.
R5: change to color B yarn, same as R3
R6: change to color A yarn, same as R4
R7: change to color B yarn, same as R3
R8: change to color C yarn, same as R4
Repeat ( from R5 to R8 ) 3 times until you reach R20 ( fasten off, weave in ends )
Shoulder straps: ( make 2 )
R1: With color A yarn, from the 1st chain of R1 of the Body part, skip 8 sts, insert hook into next st, make 7 dc across, turn.
R2: 7 dc across, turn
R3 to R14: same as R2
R15: 7 dc across ( fasten off, leave long end for seaming )
Join the strap and front side with sc or sl stitch ( fasten off, weave in ends )
Repeat from R1 to R15 on the other side to make the other shoulder strap.
Tutu:
Roll your tulle, and cut along the edge ( one strip is about 3 to 4 inches wide, the length is your own choice ).
Add tulle to R19 of the body part ( from the wrong side ), using a hook and cow hitch knots as in the following picture.
