Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/round instead of ch3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/round, so just choose your best technique ๐Ÿ™‚

This crochet pattern is done by 2 identical front and back parts, seam to join shoulder and body lines.

Special stitch used:

3dc – V stitch: ( 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc ) into same stitch or space

Are the front and back two rectangular pieces or is there shaping at the neck? I am a beginner and am weary of shaping. I love this top and hope it is something I can tackle. Fingers crossed!

  2. Mary says:

I have three 100g balls of Rosarios 4 Bio Bamboo, 175m or 191yds, it knits up on 4 and a half or 5 needles. Could you tell me if this is suitable for your pattern, and if so then how many balls I might need. Also is your pattern American or European, do I need to change sc to dc and dc to tr? Thanks

  3. Donna Adair says:

Would love to know the substitue for the tape yarn. Would a size 3 thread work or a sock yarn? I’m new at this and don’t know how to do the substitues.

  4. Dana says:

Is there a possible yarn substitution? I have no access to any tape yarn and the only ribbon yarn I could possibly get would be like Red Heart Boutique…or bulky/super bulky weight. Could this work in a cotton yarn?

  5. Marianne says:

Great pattern…thank you. I do have a question though. What type of yarn did you use? What is tape yarn???? Thanks
