Ms.Fashionista should have a prom dress and I guess mermaid style would be a perfect fit for her hourglass figures.

Materials: ( I used )
2mm crochet hook
Cotton crochet thread: variegated lilac, purple
Needle
Scissors
Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each round/row instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc for every first dc of each round/row, so just choose your best technique π
Special stitch used:
2dc- V stitch: ( 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc ) into same stitch or space

Question at row 20.
From row 19 I have 35 st in row 20 I have to increase…
But 7×4 with 1 increase 28+7= 32 not the 35 I started with.
Can u please explain or do you have the pattern for me…
Just like the dress and want to finish it π
Greet from the Netherland Edwin
Hi Edwin,
R20 in the pattern:(4 dc across, inc dc) x 7 times, total 42 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join.
As you see it should be 6 dcs x 7 = 42 dcs.
What a pretty night gown for Barbie! Thank you for sharing, this isvadorable!
So pretty! My girls are always wanting me to crochet dresses and clothes for their dolls and Barbies. Gonna have to try this. π
Pinned it! π
I have to pin this, so I can make a gorgeous dress like this for my daughter’s Barbies (when she’s old enough for Barbies). I love how the dress fits the doll perfect, and I love mermaid dresses. This doll looks like she’s about to walk the red carpet! π Thanks for sharing at the Submarine Sunday Link Party!
lovely! you are such an artist Maz!
visiting from snickerdoodle linky.. I just have to commend you on your barbie crocheting! I have been sewing for 50 years and I do crochet too. And there isn’t much I haven’t made with some kind of needle and thread…including doll clothes, but one thing I was never able to manage was clothes for barbies. I tried several times, but it was just to hard/complicated….okay, just got tired of working with such small pieces! Your outfit here is fantastic…Good job!
Cheri
