Crochet little boy’s vest

This is my first design for a baby boy’s outfit. What came in my mind is a little vest to pair with the Aspen Baby Hat I made for I Like Crochet e-magazine last Winter.

Materials: ( I used )
5mm crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn: green and white colors ( about 100 gr for the sample )

Buttons
Yarn needle
Scissors

Abbreviations

Note: I used chainless starting dc/ tr for every first dc of each row instead of ch 3/ ch 4. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2/ ch 3 then dc/ tr into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc/ tr ). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc/ tr into 1st stitch for every first dc/ tr of each row, so just choose your best technique 🙂

This crochet little boy’s vest pattern fits size 6 to 12 months old baby boy ( chest size: 18 to 20 inches )

Skill level: Intermediate

Gauge: 8 double crochet stitches x 4 rows = approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )
