Materials: ( I used )
4.5 mm crochet hook
Light weight/ DK yarn: 100% acrylic ( about 50 gr for the sample / 100 gr or 393 yds per skein )
( Check out at my Yarn shop – free worldwide shipping )
Yarn needle
Scissors
Beads: optional
Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each round/row instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each round/row, so just choose your best technique 🙂
Special stitch used:
V-stitch: ( dc, ch1, dc ) into same stitch or space
This crochet Unisex ribbed slouch hat pattern fits adult size ( 23 inches head circumference, average men’s hat size )
Skill level: Easy
Gauge: 7 double crochet sts x 4 rows = 2 inches ( with materials indicated )
Hat:
R1: Ch 100, sl into first chain to form round, 100 dc around, total 100 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join.
R2: ( 2 fpdc across, skip 1 st, V stitch into next st, skip 1 st ) x 20 times around, sl into 1st stitch to join.

Repeat ( R3 and R4 ) alternately untill you reach R26.
R27: hdc around, total 100 sts ( fasten off, weave in ends )
Use yarn needle to thread around R1 and fasten off the top.
I chose variegated yarn and vivid colors for female version. Crochet a chain and string beads onto yarn. Use it as a drawstring cord at the top. This slouch hat can be used as a lovely cowl, too.
