Materials: ( I used )
2.5 mm crochet hook
2.75 mm crochet hook
Sock weight yarn: gold color ( about 400 gr for the sample – size S/ 50 gr or 218 yds per skein )

Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/ round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/ round, so just choose your best technique 🙂
This crochet Warm Embrace blouse pattern fits size XL ( chest size: 40 to 42 inches )
( 12 skeins of the yarn indicated is recommended )
Skill level: Easy
Gauge: 12 double crochet stitches x 6 rows = approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )
Blouse:
Back piece: ( work in rows )
R1: Ch147, dc in 3rd ch from hook ( first 2 ch doesn’t count as 1st dc ), dc across, total 145 sts, turn.
R2: dc in 1st st, ( 3 dc in next 3 sts, fpdc around next st ) x 35 times across, 4 dc across, turn.
R3: dc in 1st st, ( 3 dc in next 3 sts, bpdc around next st ) x 35 times across, 4 dc across, turn.
Repeat ( R2 & R3 ) alternately untill you reach R68 ( fasten off )
Front pieces: ( make 2, work in rows )
R1: Ch55, dc in 3rd ch from hook ( first 2 ch doesn’t count as 1st dc ), dc across, total 53 sts, turn.
R2: dc in 1st st, ( 3 dc in next 3 sts, fpdc around next st ) x 12 times across, 4 dc across, turn.
R3: dc in 1st st, ( 3 dc in next 3 sts, bpdc around next st ) x 12 times across, 4 dc across, turn.
Repeat ( R2 & R3 ) alternately untill you reach R68 ( fasten off )
From the wrong side:
- Seam shoulder lines with sc or sl ( 53 sts )
- Seam front line with sc or sl ( 45 rows from the bottom up )
- Seam side lines with sc or sl ( leave 20 rows for armholes )
Using a 2.5 mm crochet hook
Sleeves: ( work in rounds )
R1: sc around armhole, sl in 1st stitch to join.
R2 to R15: sc around, sl in 1st stitch to join. ( fasten off )
Repeat at the other armhole.
Hemline: ( work in rounds )
R1: sc around the hemline, sl in 1st stitch to join.
R2 to R15: sc around, sl in 1st stitch to join. ( fasten off )
( weave in all ends )
