Materials: ( I used )
3.5 mm crochet hook
Sport weight yarn: fuchsia ( color A ), pink ( color B ), white ( color C ). ( 250 gr for the sample – size XL/ 100 gr or 393 yds per skein )

Abbreviations

Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/round, so just choose your best technique 🙂

Special stitch used:

2dc – V stitch: ( 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc ) into same stitch or space.

This crochet candy ripple tee pattern fits size XL ( chest size: 40 to 42 inches )

Skill level: Intermediate

Gauge: 12 double crochet stitches x 5 rows = approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )

Back part:

Start with A color yarn

R1:  ch 111, dc into 2nd chain from hook ( first 2 chain doesn’t count as 1st dc ), skip 1 chain, *dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, 2dc-V stitch into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, skip 3 chain * repeat ** 8 times across, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, 2dc-V stitch into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, skip 1 chain, dc into last chain, turn.

R2: dc into 1st stitch, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, 2dc-V stitch into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, *skip 2 sts, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, 2dc-V stitch into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space* repeat ** 8 times across, skip 1 st, dc into last stitch, turn.

R3: same as R2

R4,5,6: work with color B yarn, same as R2

R7,8,9: work with color C yarn, same as R2

R10,11,12: work with color B yarn, same as R2

R13,14,15: work with A color yarn, same as R2

Repeat from ( R4 to R15 ) x 2 more times untill you reach R39

R40,41,42: work with color B yarn, same as R2

R43,44,45: work with color C yarn, same as R2

  • Seam shoulder line with sc
  • Seam body line with sc, leave open armholes ( take your own measurement )
