Autumn is coming! It’s time to whip up some Fall accessories. This Fall theme crochet tunic is made of cotton self-striping yarn, interleaved pattern. The main crochet stitches are quite complicated so it’s not for beginners. Still, nothing says Fall like these beautiful leaves texture.

Sport weight yarn: self-striping yarn ( 250 gr for the sample – size L/ 50 gr or 207 yds per skein )

Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/ round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into the same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/ round, so just choose your best technique 🙂
This crochet pattern is done by 2 identical front and back parts, seam to join shoulder and body lines.
Special stitch used:
V stitch ( dc, ch 1, dc into same stitch or space )
2dc – V stitch ( 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc into same stitch or space )
This crochet Turning Leaves tunic pattern fits size XL ( chest size: 40 to 42 inches )
Skill level: Intermediate
Gauge: 12 double crochet stitches x 4 rows = approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )

What a beautiful tunic. I love both the solid and striped colors.
Very beautiful and perfect for Fall.
hello I have a question in this pattern you say to do 2 dc ACROSS ch1. I noticed that you use this word in each row. Should the word ACROSS be used.
Hi there,
* 2 dc across * here means * 2 dc into next 2 sts *. Since I had many confused questions about * 2 dc into next 2 sts *, I decided to use a general term for these.
Thanks for responding
