Crochet messy bun or ponytail beanie is a trend now. I would ride that wind xD
My design for this new craze is a type of adjustable hole-in-the-head hat with a drawstring made by worsted weight yarn, colorwork, and slanted shell stitches. You can show off your messy bun/ponytail or wear it as a common beanie when your hair is down.

Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each round/row instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each round/row, so choose your best technique 🙂
This crochet bun-up hat pattern fits adult size ( 22 inches head circumference, one size fits most )

With color B yarn, crochet a chain and string beads onto the yarn. Use it as a drawstring cord at the top.
Fold the hem when you flaunt it xD

Will this work for a 26″ Head. She’s got a lot of hair. I can’t seem to find a bigger pattern and this is adorable!!!
Hi, I’d suggest you use a bigger hook and a yarn type that matches.
Oh thank you. I’m gonna try that now.
