Last weekend, I picked up some bulky and lovely yarn from a mall. It’s mole yarn from Daiso Japan Store, soft like marshmallow with reasonable price. The best thing I could do for this excitement is putting the idea of making a chunky unisex scarf here 😀

Materials: ( I used )
8mm crochet hook
Bulky yarn: milky white (2 skeins) and brownie mole (1 skein) yarn (100 gr for the sample/ 50 gr per skein)
Yarn needle
Scissors
Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/ round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc for every first dc of each row/ round, so just choose your best technique.
This crochet Ladder unisex scarf is a fast and simple pattern, any bulky yarn type would work as long as it matches the crochet hook size. I suggest 8mm to 10 mm crochet hook for this scarf.
Skill level: Easy
Scarf:
Start with color A yarn
Make a multiples of 10 foundation chain plus 4 chains ( the first 3 chains will work as 1st dc )
R1: dc into the 4th chain from hook, (ch 3, skip 3 ch, 2 dc into next 2 chains) repeat across, end with 2 dc into last 2 chains.
R2: ( pic no.1 ) change to color B yarn, turn, ch 1, sc into 1st stitch, sc into next stitch, *ch 1, tr into the middle chain next ch3-space, ch 1, 2 sc into next 2 sts* repeat ** across, end with 2 sc into last 2 sts.
R3: ( pic no.2 ) rotate your work – 180 degree turn, this round you will work into the foundation chain. With color A yarn, 2 dc into first 2 chains, (ch 3, skip 3 ch, 2 dc into next 2 chains) repeat across, end with 2 dc into last 2 chains.
R4: ( pic no.3 ) change to color B yarn, turn, ch 1, sc into 1st stitch, sc into next stitch, *ch 1, tr into the middle chain next ch3-space, ( this time work the tr behind the ch 3 of R3 ), ch 1, 2 sc into next 2 sts* repeat ** across, end with 2 sc into last 2 sts.
R5: change to color A yarn, sc around as border line, make 3 dc into each corner. Â ( fasten off, weave in end )
Happy crocheting xD
