Materials: (I used)
5mm crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn: lavender ( color A ), white ( color B )
One big button
Scissors
Yarn needle
Fabric for liner
Thread and needle (or sewing machine)
Note: Basically, this crochet 2 in 1 bag project can be made with any type of yarn and hook size. Choose a yarn type that matches your hook.
I used chainless starting dc for every 1st dc of each round instead of ch 3. In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc for every 1st dc of each round, so just choose your best technique.
Special stitch used: No-space V-stitch: ( it’s a basic dc V-stitch without ch1-space between the V ).
Bag:
Start with color A yarn
R1: Ch 26, sc into 2nd ch from hook, 24 sc across, 2 sc into last ch, continue at the other side, 24 sc across, 2 sc into last ch, sl into 1st st to join, total 52 sts.
R2: ch 1, 2 sc into same st, 24 sc across, 2 sc into last st, continue at the other side, 2 sc into next st, 24 sc across, 2 sc into last st, sl into 1st st to join, total 56 sts
R3: ch 1, sc into same st, 2 sc into next st, 24 sc across, 2 sc into next st, sc into last st, continue at the other side, sc, 2 sc into next st, 24 sc across, 2 sc into next st, sc into last st, sl into 1 st st to join, total 60 sts
R4: dc, *skip 1 st, 2 dc into next st* repeat ’till end, dc into last st, sl into 1st st to join, total 60 sts.
R5: change to color B yarn, dc, *skip 1 st, 2 dc into the space between the V-stitch of the previous round* repeat ’till end, dc into last st, sl into 1st st to join, total 60 sts.
R6: change to color A yarn, same as R5
Repeat ( R5 and R6 ) x 4 times untill you reach R12
R13 to R15: dc around, sl into 1st stitch to join, total 60 sts.
R16: hdc around, sl into 1st stitch to join, total 60 sts.
R17: (12 hdc, ch 8, 12 hdc) x 2 times, sl into 1st stitch to join, total 44 sts. (handle part)
R18:Â hdc around (8 hdc into ch 8 from previous round), sl into 1st stitch to join, total 60 sts.
R19: dc around, sl into 1st stitch to join, total 60 sts.
R20: hdc around, sl into 1st stitch to join, total 60 sts. (fasten off, weave in ends)
Attach a big button on, that’s how you make a lovely clutch.
Happy crocheting xD

What a cute idea! I love the fold over or unfold bit, nice idea. Thanks so much for linking it up to Snickerdoodle Sunday!
Cute bag – I like the red glitter yarn, too.
