This is the crop-top version of the crochet lacy oversized top pattern. It’s kind of a stash-buster crochet project for me since I have some lightweight tape yarn left.
Materials: ( I used )
5 mm crochet hook
Light weight/ DK yarn: peach shades ( about 130 gr for the sample – size L/ 50 gr or 109 yds per skein )
Yarn needle
Scissors
Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/round instead of ch3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/round, so just choose your best technique 🙂
This crochet pattern is done by 2 identical front and back parts, seam to join shoulder and body lines.
Special stitch used:
3dc – V stitch: ( 3 dc, ch2, 3 dc ) into same stitch or space
This crochet lacy crop top pattern fits size L ( chest size: 36 to 38 inches )
Skill level: Intermediate
Gauge: 8 double crochet stitches x 4 rows approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )
Top:
work in rows ( make 2 for front and back parts )

Repeat from (R5 to R8) alternately until you reach your desired length.
- Put front and back parts together, from the wrong side, seam shoulder line with sc or sl (about 25 sts each side)
- Seam body line from the bottom up with sc or sl (leave about 12 rows for armholes)
Weave in all ends.
Happy crocheting xD
