Crochet Ocean Tides wrap

This versatile wrap is something to go with your neutral and plain outfits. Made by chevron crochet stitches and sport weight yarn so it can be worn as a big scarf, too.

Materials: ( I used )
4mm crochet hook
Sport weight yarn: Self-striping white turquoise ( 150 gr for the sample – 12 inches in width and 6 feet in length wrap/ 100 gr or 546 yds per skein )

Abbreviations

Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into the same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/round, so just choose your best technique 🙂

The length of this crochet Ocean Tides wrap is optional.

Special stitch used:

2dc – V stitch: ( 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc ) into same stitch or space.

Skill level: Intermediate

Gauge: 12 double crochet stitches x 5 rows = approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )

Wrap:

R1:  ch 87, dc into 2nd chain from hook ( first 2 chain doesn’t count as 1st dc ), skip 1 chain, *dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, 2dc-V stitch into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, skip 3 chains * repeat ** 6 times across, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, 2dc-V stitch into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, ch1, skip 1 chain, dc into next chain, skip 1 chain, dc into the last chain, turn.

R2: dc into 1st stitch, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, 2dc-V stitch into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, *skip 2 sts, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, 2dc-V stitch into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 2 sts, dc into next ch1-space, ch1, skip 1 st, dc into next ch1-space* repeat ** 6 times across, skip 1 st, dc into last stitch, turn.

R3 to R170: same as R2 ( fasten off, weave in ends )
