For the 1st post of 2016 – I have this green and fresh crochet wild daisies baby blanket developed from my Wild daisy granny square pattern. ” I saw wild daisies on green grass ” theme.

Materials: ( I used )
5mm crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn: 100% acrylic – white, yellow, green, dark green ( about 350 gr for the sample )
Yarn needle
Scissors
Note: I used chainless starting dc/tr for every first dc/tr of each round instead of ch 3/ch 4. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2/ch 3, dc/tr into the same stitch ( counted as 1st dc/tr ). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc/tr for every first dc/tr of each round, so just choose your best technique 🙂
Special stitch used:
Picot stitch: ( sc, ch3, sc ) into the same stitch.
- You can use any hook size for this crochet wild daisies baby blanket pattern, just choose a yarn type that matches. Steam block your finished project.
- Each square size: 10 x 10 inches
- Finished crochet project: 32 x 32 inches ( stroller size )
Skill level: Intermediate

( fasten off, weave in ends )
- Make 9 squares, now it’s time to join them. There are many ways to join crochet motifs, and you can pick any method you want.
- I used the single crochet seam method and dark green yarn to join the squares.
- Using green color yarn, crochet border around with sc ( make 3 sc into each corner )
Crochet edging: ( 1 picot stitch, skip next st ) repeat around ( fasten off, weave in ends )

Your blanket is so pretty, would like to make it. But have a very important question for you about it. Is this blanket in US or UK terms. and are all your patterns are they in US or UK terms. As they are so different. Thank you
Hi Andrea,
I’m using US crochet terms. You can see it in the Abbreviations page 🙂
