Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into the same stitch (counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/round, so just choose your best technique 🙂
Special stitch used:
2dc – V stitch: ( 2 dc, ch1, 2 dc ) into same stitch or space.

- Seam shoulder lines with sc or sl ( 63 sts ).
- Seam body lines with sc or sl ( leave 10 rows for armholes ).
Sleeves:Â ( work in rounds )
From the right side, join yarn and insert hook into the place where you made the last stitch of the seaming body line.
R1: dc around, total 40 sts, sl in 1st stitch to join.
R2: fpdc around 1st stitch, bpdc around next stitch, * fpdc around next stitch, bpdc around next stitch * repeat ** around, sl in 1st stitch to join.
R3 to R15: same as R2 ( fasten off ).
Collar and button line part:Â ( work in rows )
R1: sc across button line and neckline, until you reach the other end, turn.
R2: dc across button line and neckline, until you reach the other end, turn.
R3 to R5: same as R2 ( fasten off ).
Weave in all ends.

Can you suggest a different yarn, I’m allergic to Angora. I live this cardigan! Kathy
You can use any type of sport weight yarn for this design. Just make sure to have a similar gauge.
