Crochet alluring bralette

This is a versatile top I made some time ago. And now I manage to put the pattern here. You can style this bralette with high-waist jeans, pair it under a sheer top, or a blazer.

Materials: ( I used )
3.5 mm crochet hook
Sport weight yarn: cream color ( about 70 gr for the sample – size L / 100 gr or 185 yds per skein )
Yarn needle
Scissors

Abbreviations

Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/ round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into the same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/ round, so just choose your best technique.

Special stitches used: 

5dc-shell stitch: ( 5dc into same stitch or space )

This crochet sexy halter top pattern fits size L ( chest size: 36 to 38 inches )

Skill level: Intermediate

Gauge: 12 double crochet stitches x 6 rows = approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )

Top:

Cup: ( make 2 )

R1: ch18, dc in 3rd ch from hook ( first 2 chs doesn’t count as 1st dc ), 15 dc across, make 5dc-shell stitch in last ch, dc in same ch, 15 dc across, turn.

R2: 18 dc across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, 18 dc across, turn.

R3: 20 dc across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, 20 dc across, turn.

R4: 22 dc across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, 22 dc across, turn.

R5: 24 dc across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, 24 dc across, turn.

R6: 26 dc across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, 26 dc across, turn.

R7: 28 dc across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, 28 dc across, turn.

R8: 30 dc across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, 30 dc across, turn.

R9: ( dc, ch1, skip next st ) x 16 times across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, ( ch1, skip next st, dc ) x 16 times across, turn.

R10: ( dc, ch1, skip next ch1-space ) x 17 times across, 5dc-shell stitch in next st, ( ch1, skip next ch1-space, dc ) x 17 times across. ( fasten off )

Join the cups with 4 slip stitches (pic.1)

 

Front band:

Insert hook and join yarn at the bottom of the cups.

R1: make 81 sc across, turn.

R2: dc across, 81 sts, turn.

R3 and R4: same as R2. ( fasten off )

 

Back straps:

Insert hook and join yarn from the side of the front band (pic.2)

R1: 6 dc across, turn.

R2 to R40: same as R1

( fasten off )

Repeat on the other side.

 

Front mesh:

Insert hook and join yarn at R16 from one side of the back strap (pic.3)

R1: 145 dc across, turn.

R2: *dc, ch1, skip next st* repeat ** across, dc in last st, turn.

R3: *dc, ch1, skip next ch1-space* repeat ** across, dc in last st, turn.

R4 to R9: same as R3 ( fasten off )

Halter straps:

Insert hook and join yarn at top of the cup ( 5dc-shell stitch of R10 )

R1: 5 dc across, turn.

R2 to R35: same as R1

( fasten off )

Repeat on the other side.
