Materials: ( I used )
5mm crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn: glittering white and lilac ( 200 gr for the sample – size L/ 125 gr or 300 yds per skein )
Yarn needle
Scissors
Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/round instead of ch3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch2, dc into the same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc into 1st stitch for every first dc of each row/round, so just choose your best technique 🙂
This crochet comfy crop top pattern fits size L ( chest size: 36 to 38 inches )
Skill level: Easy
Gauge:Â 10 double crochet stitches x 5 rows approximately 2 inches ( with materials indicated )

Repeat (from R5 to R7) x 14 times, until you reach R46
R47: turn, change to color A yarn, ( dc, ch1, skip next ch1-space ) x 50 times across, dc into the last stitch.
R48: turn, ( dc , ch1, skip next ch1-space ) x 50 times across, dc into last stitch.
R49: turn, dc across, 101 sts ( fasten off, weave in ends )
- Put front and back parts together, from the wrong side, seam shoulder line with sc ( about 20 sts each side )
- Seam body line with sc ( about 29 rows from the bottom up )
Armholes: Join yarn and insert hook into the place where you made the last sc of seaming body line.
R1: sc around ( 2 sc into each dc space ), sl into 1st stitch to join.

I assume this is being worked from the bottom up? I don’t see an increase for the arms – is that correct? Thanks for your help.
Both top down and bottom up are right for this pattern. As you see it made of 2 similar rectangular pieces 🙂
I love your design and want to make this top and bought the pdf file with all sizes. But I would like to know what yarn you used. It looks so nice. And which side is the wrong side an which is the right side? Thanks.
Hi Laura,
I used a local yarn brand so it’s stated as shimmery cotton yarn. Don’t worry about the yarn, any soft type of cotton yarn would be fine as long as the gauge is similar. Since this pattern is worked with rows, right or wrong side is your own option, just take the ” smooth ” side as the right side 🙂
I LOOVE THIS TOP!! THANK YOU for sharing. I will definitely be making this
