Another lovely crochet dress pattern for fashion doll! At first, I planned to make a midi dress for Ms. Fashionista but I as I went on, the gut of creating a floor length gown was really high. So here it is: Crochet fashion doll strapless gown pattern.

Materials: ( I used )
2mm crochet hook
Cotton crochet thread: pastel pink ( color A ), lilac ( color B ) and blue ( color C )
Elastic thread
Needle
Scissors

Abbreviations

Note: I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row/round instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2, dc into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc for every first dc of each row/round, so just choose your best technique 🙂

The length of this crochet fashion doll strapless gown is optional.

Special stitch used:

V stitch: ( dc, ch1, dc ) into same stitch or space

2dc-V stitch: ( 2 dc, ch1, 2 dc ) into same stitch or space

3dc-V stitch: ( 3 dc, ch1, 3 dc ) into same stitch or space

Skill level: Intermediate

Gauge: 8 double crochet stitches x 4 rows approximately 1 inch.

Dress:

Upper part: working in rounds

Start with color A yarn

R1: Ch 36, sl into first chain to form round, 36 dc around, sl into first stitch to join.

R2: 36 dc around, sl into first stitch to join.

R3: ch1, sc into first st, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st, skip 2 sts, *sc into next st, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st, skip 2 sts * repeat ** around, end with 2dc- V stitch, skip 2 sts, sl into first stitch to join.

R4: change to color B yarn, 2dc into first st, skip 2 sts, sc into into next ch1-space, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts, *sc into into next ch1-space, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts* repeat ** around, end with ( 2dc, ch1 ) into last st, sl into first stitch to join.

R5: change to color C yarn, ch1, sc into first ch ( the ch1 of the previous round ), skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts, *sc into into next ch1-space, skip 2 sts, 2dc- V stitch into next st ( the sc of the previous round ), skip 2 sts * repeat ** around, end with 2dc- V stitch, skip 2 sts, sl into first stitch to join.

R6: change to color A yarn, same as R4

R7: change to color B yarn, same as R5

R8: change to color C yarn, same as R4 ( fasten off, weave in end )

Lower part: working in rounds

Back to R1 of the dress, work with color A yarn.

R1: 34 sc around, dec sc, total 35 sts, sl into first stitch to join.

R2: ( 2dc across, skip 1 st, V stitch into next stitch, skip 1 st ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R3: ( 2dc across, 2dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R4: ( 2dc across, 3dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R5: ( inc dc, dc, 3dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R6: ( inc dc, 2 dc across, 3dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R7: ( inc dc, 3 dc across, 3dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R8: ( inc dc, 4 dc across, 3dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R9: ( inc dc, 5 dc across, 3dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

R10: ( inc dc, 6 dc across, 3dc- V stitch into next ch1-space ) repeat around, sl into first stitch to join.

Attach elastic thread around R1 of the upper part.
