My first crochet design for Ms. Fashionista – a crochet fashion doll tank dress based on her glamorous purple style.
Click here to <3 this pattern on Ravelry
Materials: ( I used )
1.75 mm crochet hook
Cotton crochet thread: pink and purple
Needle
Scissors
Note: I used chainless starting dc/tr for every first dc/tr of each round instead of ch 3/ch 4. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2/ch 3, dc/tr into same stitch ( counted as 1st dc/tr). In the pattern below you’ll see I simply state dc/tr for every first dc/tr of each round, so just choose your best technique ๐
Special stitch used:
2dc- V stitch: ( 2 dc, ch2, 2 dc ) into same stitch.
3tr- V stitch: ( 3 tr, ch2, 3 tr ) into same stitch.
Skill level: Intermediate
Gauge: 8 double crochet stitches x 4 rows approximately 1 inch ( with materials indicated )
Dress:
( work in rounds )
Start with color A yarn, ch40, sl into 1st chain to form round.
R1: dc around, 40 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join
R2 to 5: same as R1
R6: change to color B yarn, sc around, 40 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join

R8: * fpdc, 2dc-V stitch into next ch2-space * repeat** 10 times, sl into 1st stitch to join
R9 to 11: same as R8
R12: * fptr, 3tr-V stitch into next ch2-space * repeat** 10 times, sl into 1st stitch to join
R13 and 14: same as R12 ( fasten off, weave in end )
Straps: Back to the top, using color B yarn
R1: from the 1st chain of R1, sc around, 40 sts, sl into 1st stitch to join
R2: 28 dc, hdc, sc, sc, hdc, 8 dc, total 40 sts ( fasten off, weave in end )
R3: from the last st of R2, skip 4 sts, 3 sc, turn, ch 1
R4: 3 sc, turn, ch 1
R5 to 15: same as R4
R16: 3 sc across ( fasten off )
Join the strap and back side with sc or sl stitch ( fasten off, weave in end )
Repeat from R3 to R16 at other side to make the other strap.
